We thought our clients might be interested in a great new service now operating in West Yorkshire. We have already bookmarked their site for future reference!
The Yorkshire Animal Ambulance is a dedicated pet ambulance run by former veterinary nurse Suzanne Waller. Suzanne and her co-founder James McPhee launched the service after her rescue dog developed a severe and debilitating disease which made it hard to transport her to daily vet appointments.
The Animal Ambulance is licensed by the State Veterinary Service and has been fully kitted out to DEFRA standards. It is fitted with specialist pet travel cages, cat carriers, a hot and cold water supply and basic, external spotlight, a full first aid and trauma kit, fridge and a pet ramp for easy access.
The dedicated team, who operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, are fully trained in first aid and have been specially trained by local vets to deal with all situations, including spinal patients. The service is available for routine appointments, referrals and transportation to all UK specialist veterinary centres.
If you would like to find out a little more you can visit: www.yorkshireaa.co.uk or telephone Suzanne on: 0845 6801156.

The phone has not stopped ringing, the diary is filling up . . yes, summer has arrived! This is our favourite time of year here at PPS, and it looks like being another busy summer.
Over the last few months we have employed a number of new sitters to join PPS. We now have additional sitters in Beverley, Seaham, Ilkley, Killingworth, Sheffield and Doncaster. All our new sitters are already proving to be excellent additions to our team and are looking forward to enjoying their first busy summers! We are still in the process of employing further sitters and are always looking for dependable, experienced, friendly staff so if you think you might be interested please do get in touch.
We are also busy working on updating our literature to better represent the PPS image. Many of you will have already seen our new letterhead and this will soon be joined by a new brochure, literature and more comprehensive forms. We hope you like them!
As summer approaches we are also starting to take an increasing number of Christmas bookings. If you are keen to book your favrourite sitter or are planning to go away for a number of weeks this Christmas please do get in touch as soon as possible so that we can ensure we are able to cover your requirements!
We are keen to make our blog as interesting and varied as possible so if you have any articles or information that you think may be of interest to our clients or sitters we would love to hear from you. We would be particularly interested in hearing from any animal charities who would like to tell us a little more about their work, fellow pet care companies or even sitters who have a story to tell!

We are currently looking to increase our team of horse sitters to work throughout the North of England. If you have owned horses in the past or have experience in caring for them we would be delighted to hear from you.
The work would be ad-hoc and flexible. It would involve moving into our clients homes and also caring for any pets they may have.
If you would like to find out more please call Liz on: 01423 817867 or you can drop me an email at: liz@petandpropertysitters.co.uk

As the demand for our services grows we are actively looking to expand our friendly team of sitters. If you have spare time on your hands, love animals, enjoy walking and are interested in visiting different parts of our region then pet and property sitting could be ideal for you!
Pet and property sitting is a great way to have a change of scenery and explore different areas while caring for a variety of delightful animals. Sitting is extremely enjoyable and flexible enough to enable sitters to work as much or as little as they wish while fitting round other commitments such as grandchildren or spending time abroad. Some property sits are as short as a long weekend, while others range from a week to a month! Sitters can choose to stay locally or travel further a field.
Property sitting is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Many sitters become firm friends with their clients and their pets. As well as being paid, sitters are also provided with provisions' allowance and traveling expenses. A preliminary visit is always arranged prior to each new sit so that you can be sure you are happy to stay there and know what is involved.
If you are a trustworthy, responsible and capable and most importantly love animals we would be delighted to hear from you!
